All of Shirley's Georgian Bay driftwood sailboats are made from driftwood collected along the shores of Georgian Bay. Each sailboat is individually handmade and completely unique. They have been made with patience, creativity and a passion for nature. The unique bases and masts of the boats are made from pieces of driftwood that have journeyed through the deep waters and waves of Lake Huron. Each piece was selected because of its interesting shape and texture. The shells, stones, and beach glass has also been collected along the sandy beaches of the Bay...in every season! The beautiful designer linen sails have double-sided fabric that has been sewn and embellished with vintage lace and textiles. Each sail has had grommets carefully inserted and cotton string attaches the sails to the masts with the use of eyelet screws. These sailboats are peaceful and calm; and will brighten up any nook or shelf in your home!
